The DLC Virtual and in person Team Alignment– Learning that is relevant and results-driven

The premise is simple – create focused, timely opportunities for your talent and teams to engage and to better leverage their own strengths. We facilitate an interactive offsite to share knowledge, reflect on the importance of leadership and its ensuing responsibilities.
 
Framework – As a result of doing these team sessions, you team’s will be better able to:
  • Develop their competencies and learn to develop their direct reports and to give direct feedback.
  • Share leadership challenges and find solutions in collaboration with other leaders.
  • Allow participants to build relationships internally across lines  in an effort to increase cross- division, knowledge sharing and external partnerships. 
  • Drive strategy, goals and create results.  

Team Alignment Topics 

  • Leadership Competencies and Team Development – Includes Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument to increase awareness of strengths and blind spots, how your preferences influence your communication, and your impact with your team.
  • Strategy – Goals and Results – Establishing clarity and alignment of strategy and implementation of strategy. Understanding what is the legacy that the team would like to leave and how they will do so. 
  • Managing Conflict – Personal style: preferences in managing conflict, recognizing and working with different styles, conflict as “opportunity,” practicing a live “debate” to improve style awareness and conflict management skills.
  • Coaching, Developing Self and Others and Giving Feedback– Importance of coaching as a means to increase your effectiveness and satisfaction as a manager and as a team. Includes Hogan Assessments: values, derailers and motivation.
  • Networking and Influencing – Importance of assessing network and in building on present network. Prioritizing key stakeholders to deliver, to influence and to have an impact.  
  • Change - Navigate changes and learn “to build the bridge as you walk on it”. Focus on understanding change and acquiring tools to deal with change.

Team Alignment Structures

  • ½ Day offsite built on constructing an overview of the team's strengths and challenges. Debrief of individual and team profiles to shed light on how to find solutions in enhancing the strengths and in addressing challenges that the team would like to address.
  • A Full Day offsite – The morning is spent on an overview of the goals of the leader and the team, and the interpretation of the Individual Profile and the Team Profile. The afternoon is spent on finding solutions to the team’s challenges and developing a plan to address the challenges in details with measurement and accountability.
